Dalen Keys believes that insanity led him to begin writing when he was well beyond “knowing better.” He quickly realized that he couldn’t leverage his years of experience in research and manufacturing with the DuPont Company, his B.S. in chemistry from the University of North Alabama, or even his Ph.D. in chemistry from Rice University. While deep in despair, he suddenly realized he could use the silly tales and wild stories he told to his three children long before he consider writing them down. Things suddenly looked better about writing; besides, he has to do something in Landenberg, PA while his wife, Mitzie, pursues her passion for quilting. This is Dalen’s second picture book in the series exploring the wonders of quilting and the imagination of children. Kim Sponaugle is a graduate of the Art Institute of Philadelphia and has worked in graphic arts and illustration for twenty years. She is a South Jersey girl at heart and has lived in Salem County most of her life. In 2007, Kim started Picture Kitchen Studio and has not looked back, illustrating more than 20 children’s books with more on the way. Kim and her husband Jerry have one son, Josh, and a little bug-eating Westie named Casey.
