THE AUTHOR: Judi Folmsbee, now retired, used to dream of writing her own children’s book when she taught elementary school. That dream came true in 2013 when her first full-color, hardback edition of Bubba, the Busy Beaver was released. Bubba is a story about a young beaver who never gives up. Preposterous Pebbles, her second book, reminds us how important it is to be ourselves. In addition to children’s books and articles in booklets and newspapers, her work has been published in anthologies such as: Chicken Soup for the Soul: Devotional Stories for Tough Times; Fighting Fear: Winning the War at Home; Christmas Faith & Fun, Christmas Presence, and Christmas by Delmarva Christian Writers’ Fellowship. Judi visits schools to read and share activities in the classroom as well as school-wide assemblies, and was a conference workshop presenter for Read Aloud Delaware in 2016. She is an active member of Delmarva Christian Writers’ Fellowship and on the board of the Vine & Vessels Christian Writers’ Conference planning committee. Visit Judi at www.judifolmsbee.com or contact her at 302.684.3603, judifolmsbee@gmail.com.

THE ILLUSTRATOR: Kylie Westlake is an illustrator and graphic designer from smack dab in the middle of the Finger Lakes region. Her illustrations started gaining recognition while she was earning her degree for Fine Arts and Graphic Design. During her schooling, she received multiple awards for her playful, light-hearted illustrations, and her self portrait “CREATE” was chosen for a year-long exhibit in Washington D.C. As she took illustration-based classes, Kylie realized her passions and style harmonized with children’s illustrations, and she decided to pursue the craft professionally. When she isn’t collecting sunflower decor or playing with her own preposterous pooch, Chloe, you can contact Kylie through her home office at kmwestlake@outlook.com.
