Clean a dishwasher in 3 easy steps with natural products
With our economic lives, maintaining a clean house is not always an easy task. The dishwasher is one of those appliances that works hard for us, but we often forget to take care of. Many people don’t realize that it is crucial to clean your dishwasher regularly to ensure its efficiency and longevity. Today I’m going to share with you how to clean your dishwasher with natural and economical products in three steps.
Step 1: Preparation and first cleaning
Before you begin, the first thing to do is empty the dishwasher. Then remove the filter and wipe it using a damp cloth or small toothbrush. It’s a good idea to target areas that seem particularly dirty or filled with food scraps.
Step 2: Using White Vinegar
Once you have cleared the obvious areas of debris, the next step is to use White vinegar. An essential ally in cleaning, white vinegar is natural, economical and has antibacterial properties. To do this, pour 2 cups of white vinegar into a heat-resistant bowl and place it on the top rack of your dishwasher (do not use detergent). Then run the dishwasher on a full cycle at the highest temperature. Vinegar will help eliminate bad odors, dissolve soap scum and grease deposits.
Step 3: Using Baking Soda
The baking soda, just like white vinegar, is a cleaning superhero. It is excellent for removing stubborn stains and making the dishwasher shine. After completing the vinegar cycle, sprinkle about a cup of baking soda on the bottom of the dishwasher and run a short cycle with hot water.
This will not only help remove stains, but also freshen up the smell of your dishwasher. And there you have it, your dishwasher is clean, shiny and ready to use! I hope these tips help you in maintaining your dishwasher. Remember, a clean dishwasher is a happy dishwasher! Stay tuned for more tips and tricks for stress-free and hassle-free cleaning!
